Puppy Plans!!!!

Plans for our next litter are moving right along!  The "mom-to-be" is Natalie - now Gr Ch Always No Strings Attached CGC RN - all those abbreviations stand for Grand Champion, Canine Good Citizen, and Rally Novice titles!  Natalie has now also attained her OFA and CERF health certifications.  She is due in season in January 2014 so that will mean puppies in late March/early April timeframe if all goes as planned.  Below is a puppy from Always Schnauzers last litter, Stoli, getting all pretty at her first show a couple of weeks ago!  Contact me at pkoller@austin.rr.com if you are interested in a puppy out of this litter.

Stoli growing up!

The puppies are now over 8 months old! Stoli, my keeper puppy is as cute as ever!  She still chews up shoes, pens, garden hose, sprinkler, you name it but I am hopeful she will outgrow this soon,  as she is just so darned cute I forgive her most anything!  Plans are to show Stoli for the first time this fall if all goes well!

Rocky has a new home!!!

Thanks to all who inquired about Rocky!  I have found a great home for him.  He and his new "dad" Matt make a great match!  In the meantime, until Matt can finish his fence not to mention take his long scheduled vacation, Rocky will be hanging out with his uncles Jager and Luke and his brother Wyatt.  What a life!

Puppy Available From the "O" Litter

I have an almost 7 month old puppy available from Bella and Tristan's last litter.

Always On the Mountain aka Rocky is available to the right home.  Rocky is a big boy over 20" tall and weighing in just over 40 lb.  He will be 7 months old on August 2nd.  The owners had to return Rocky due to a change in job situations.  Rocky has been neutered, had all shots and been microchipped, is housebroken, and crate trained.  He has one set of puppy classes and knows basic commands.  He is a real sweetheart and is extremely intelligent.  He is an active puppy but settles down and is quiet once he tires a bit.  He is not a yappy dog and only barks occasionally..

I am looking ideally for a home with adults, or perhaps older kids (teenagers) - no small children please.  Rocky loves other dogs so other pets are OK.  In a perfect world, I would like a home with Standard Schnauzer experience.

If you have an interest in Rocky please contact me at pkoller@austin.rr.com.

Plans for the Future

Now that all of the "O" Litter has gone home we can start thinking about plans for the future!  Our next litter is planned early January 2014.  Natalie (Ch. Always No Strings Attached) will be bred at that time.  Plans will be firmed up this summer.

3 Months Old and then there was one......

The puppies are now 3 months old and all have gone to their new homes - EXCEPT the little lavender girl who is a keeper!  We are calling her Stoli (registered name Always on the Rocks)!  Stoli still gets to see her sister Diva (Always on the Runway) who lives here in the Austin area.  AND she got to visit her brother Wyatt (Always Notorious) who lives in Kerrville for a week when Mom had a family emergency and had to leave town for awhile. Wyatt is 16 months older than Stoli but the same breeding, Bella and Tristan - and boy did they have a great time!  Stoli got to see the Doodles who live next door and meet Wyatt's best bud Ranger, a Boston Terrier.  She also got to go on a golf cart ride!  And her uncles Jager and Luke were around to keep an eye on the youngsters too!

Stoli takes a break in the bluebonnets while out on a golf cart ride!

Pups are 8 weeks old!

I have been delinquent in posting news and photos - Eight puppies take up a lot of time and energy!  Here are some new pics taken over the last couple of weeks.  Puppies have been to the vet for their health check and first set of shots - of course everyone LOVED them!  The kids will start going home this weekend!

Our first trip to the backyard!

The puppies had a big weekend with lots of company and their first trip out to the backyard.  They played and played with both human visitors and each other.  Mama Bella kept a close eye on things!

Just like the last Bella x Tristan litter these puppies are fascinated by all my empty pots!

Pups had great fun running in and out from under the climber and playing with Bella.

After the puppies eat their puppy food, Bella provides dessert!

Bella won't let them stray too far away in the yard - there is plenty of time for that later!

After about an hour outside the puppies are all tuckered out and ready to sleep!

Lots of excitement!

Lots of excitement and changes for the puppies the last few days!  They are now eating puppy food (softened) two times a day.  They either eat their meal in the puppy pen OR - big excitement - outside in the dog run/patio area!  Bella is not sure about them wandering around out there and tries to herd them all together but they have been pretty brave so far!  A couple even ventured out onto the rocks!  This weekend if weather is good enough I hope to take them out into the big back yard for an outing or two!  My friend Lynne is coming to visit and help with the puppies so it should be lots of fun!

We sure like our groceries!!!

It's a whole new world out here and  we were so BRAVE!!!

Back to the whelping box for fun and games and then sleep! Blue boy and Orange Boy are always "hamming it up" - they must think there is a prize for most photogenic!

The Great Escape!!!

An exciting night!  Around 2 am I kept hearing a puppy making noise.  This happens and usually they will settle right down but it just got louder!  I got up to check on them and found not one, not two, but THREE puppies out of the box!!!  One had made it out of the room squeezing behind the baby gate that is leaning up against the door and all the way down the hall.  Another was standing by Bella, and yet a third had crawled into Bella's crate and was laying there!  All this and Bella never barked!  I guess she figured they were making enough noise!  I retrieved everyone and put the FULL size door in the box.  It is around 20" tall so I think that should contain them awhile, but Bella can still jump in and out as she feels like it.

How much longer do I have to do the work Mom?

What a Weekend!

The puppies have had a VERY busy weekend.  On Saturday, they got to try real food for the first time!  They took right to it eating out of pie plates.  I think there was more on them than in them but they had fun.  Next we fed in their puppy feeding pan - more IN them this way!  I decided on Sunday to go ahead and set the puppy pen up - they are not getting out of the whelping box yet but it helps to have a different place to feed them - while they are eating I can clean up their box and put down new bedding and toys.  They did great in the pen while eating but once that distraction was over they figured out they were in a whole new part of the house and oh my gosh look at everything we can see and hear now!  One thing led to another and soon all 8 puppies were barking and playing at the top of their lungs!  Bella could hear them outside!  We are settling into a routine of feeding a few times a day and then Bella nurses them after that and in between feedings.  Soon Bella won't have to spend the  night with the pups and can come back in the bedroom with me and Kolt!

Here we are having our second yummy meal!  We look like a pinwheel don't we?

Then Mom got the bright idea to feed us in the puppy pen which is in the dining area!  Oh boy we had fun there and barked and played a LOT!

Back to our box and it was fun playing there too!

Pink Girl finally cuddled up on a toy and fell asleep!

Here we are all tuckered out in our box this morning after breakfast and play time!

We are 3 weeks old now!

Wow how time flies!  Puppies can see and hear and are walking around.  They bark and they play!  It is just amazing how fast they are growing.  We did toenails for the first time already - that was an experience.  You can hardly see them!  But they sure needed to be done.

Pups are really getting mobile and enjoy wandering around and playing in their box!

Pups really enjoy laying on and under all their big stuffed toys.

Fun puppy weekend!

Puppies are growing so fast!  They are really getting mobile and one even got out of the box last night!  I guess it is time to put in the half door to contain the crew awhile longer!  Bella continues to be an excellent mom. She nurses them now either sitting down or standing up!  They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow!

Bella's babies are enjoying the nice new whelping pad.  They look like a big fan around her nursing.

Two weeks old today!

Another milestone - the babies are two weeks old today.  Eyes are JUST starting to open (remember the puppies were born a couple of days early) and they are getting really active.  Gaining weight and getting bigger every minute!

Is that a pile of puppies or what?

Mama Bella still taking very good care of her family!

We are one week old!

Bella's babies are one week old today!  Hardly seems possible.  They are getting bigger every day and very mobile.  They like to crawl behind and on the big stuffed toys in the whelping box.  Often if I am missing a puppy when I go in and count I can find them under the toys!

Here we are this morning hanging out with mom and the toys!

Babies almost a week old!

Bella's puppies had tails and dew claws done on Friday.  Since then they have been sleeping and eating and growing!  All are up to over one pound now.  They are such good babies and Bella is a fantastic mom!

Here is Bella and her family on Sunday morning - no more tails!!!
